Draft- Price Changes For Individual Days
This article summarizes minimum and maximum prices and how to save, upload, and remove individual price adjustments.
RoomPriceGenie lets you change the price recommendation on any given day when you feel the need to do so. You have the possibility to change price recommendations on an individual day and for multiple days.
Maybe you do not agree with the system's suggestion or you want to try something different. At RoomPriceGenie, there are various ways to override the price suggestions.
Minimum and Maximum Prices
When we set your RoomPriceGenie account, we set your Minimum and Maximum price (your lowest and highest boundary) and the algorithm works between these values. This gives you full control over your prices so that you keep them at the right level for your hotel’s long-term reputation.
The algorithm will never override the maximum or minimum price unless you do a manual ‘fix price’ outside of this range.
Example: By using the data in the screenshot above we can see that on that day I choose to pick up a bit my minimum & maximum price for my Standard Double room. So while the default is at €90 on this day I decide to charge as low as €110 and as high as €520.
A few cases when you can use this adjustment:
✔ On days where you can charge more than your current maximum.
✔ Days like New Year for example, when you can charge double the price!
✔ On days where with your percentage adjustment the price cannot go higher than your default maximum and you want to give more space.
✔ On days where you need to drop your minimum rate and override the default minimum price
How to Save/Upload & Remove Individual Price Adjustments?
With all of these adjustments, you have a few generally common options when it comes to saving and removing adjustments.
Save - will just save the adjustment within RoomPriceGenie for now. No updates will be pushed to your hotel system. If you are on auto-upload the system will take these changes with the next upload which usually occurs in a few hours. Upload to PMS/CM - will save and send the price change immediately to your PMS/Channel Manage.
Remove adjustment - will remove the adjustment from RoomPriceGenie. If it was sent already to your PMS/CM removing the adjustment here will not remove it in your PMS/CM. Instead, RoomPriceGenie with the next upload will send the new information, the new price recommendation.
