What does the 'Percent Adjustments' feature do?
The 'Percent Adjustments' feature in RoomPriceGenie allows you to modify the price recommendation for any given day. This is useful if you want your prices to adjust based on occupancy and competitor rates.
It's important to note that the percentage adjustment will never override your Minimum and Maximum prices, unlike the 'Fix Price' option.
Different from the 'Fix Price' option, the system will still calculate prices daily, taking into account changes in local demand and your occupancy. However, the system will always apply your Percent Adjustment at the end. Each adjustment can be either a positive or negative value. You have the flexibility to change price recommendations for a specific day or for multiple days.
For example, if there is an important event in your area, your market adjustment is not high enough and you would like to charge a bit more, you can add a percentage adjustment of, let's say, +10%. If our algorithm suggests a price of $120, the price sent to your PMS/Channel Manager would be $132.
How to set 'Percent Adjustments' in RoomPriceGenie?
Option 1: Applying Percent Adjustments for a Specific Day
To make changes for a specific day, go to the Calendar view and select the desired date. A price pop-up will appear, allowing you to add a surcharge or discount for all the categories. This gives you the flexibility to adjust your prices based on your needs for that particular day.
Option 2: Applying Percent Adjustments for Multiple Days
With the Bulk-Edit feature in RoomPriceGenie, you have the ability to make changes for a defined time period. Simply select the desired time range and a pop-up will appear, allowing you to apply a surcharge or discount to all your categories. This convenient feature gives you the flexibility to adjust your prices across multiple days based on your specific needs.
Option 3: Making adjustments for specific room categories
By default, the Percent Adjustments feature in RoomPriceGenie applies to your Reference category. Meaning, it is not possible to directly apply percentage adjustments to one particular derived category. If you apply a percentage adjustment to your Reference category, it will affect all the categories in the same way.
But don't worry! RoomPriceGenie offers another solution. You can apply adjustments to a particular category only by using the Room Derivation Setting under Bulk Edit Prices. This allows you to customize and fine-tune your pricing strategy for specific categories.
How to delete 'Percent Adjustments' in RoomPriceGenie?
Remove Percent Adjustments for a single day
If you ever need to remove your manual adjustments for a single day, you have two options:
1) Use the "Remove Adjustments" option in the price pop-up.
Bear in mind that this option deletes ALL manual adjustments made for this particular day.
2) Use the "Bulk Remove" option to be able to remove only one particular change but leave potential other adjustments.
Remove Percent Adjustments for multiple days
If you ever need to remove your manual adjustments for a defined time period, simply use the "Bulk Remove" option in the Calendar view.
